Electrical Equipment Testing

Portable Appliance Testing (PAT Testing) is a check of your electrical appliances to identify faults that could cause dangerous accidents. It is now more commonly referred to as Electrical Equipment Testing.

We provide a friendly PAT Testing service and specialise in helping holiday letting and accommodation providers meet their testing obligations. 

We test all of your electrical appliances and provide risk assessment advice so that you can be sure you are doing your bit to keep your family and guests safe.

The new rules for holiday lets in Scotland will be in force soon.  Short-term holiday lets in Scotland will soon need Electrical Equipment Testing (PAT Testing). By short-term holiday lets, we mean anything that people may hire for a short break, this includes holiday cottages and AirBnB style rentals.

Full PAT Testing

All electrical appliances are tested to ensure they meet with the current Code of Practice (COP) guidelines. Our testing includes:

Minor Faults Repaired

Any minor faults found can be repaired and re-tested. For example: We can provide and install new 3-pin plugs and carry out a free re-test.

Detailed Reports

We provide full and detailed computer generated reports listing all of the tested appliances, and an Electrical Equipment Testing Certificate.

These can be used as proof of testing for insurance and compliance purposes.

Microwave Tested

We test your microwave ovens and check for harmful leakage emissions free of charge.
